New Poetry Video

This poem was inspired by the painting Flaming June by Sir Frederic Leighton. This recording is from a reading I did with poet Kate Noakes, in London, England, last year. There was snow on the streets and I spent my evenings beside pub fireplaces to defrost after spending hours in various inspiring house museums, including the absurdly beautiful Leighton House. I am so grateful to have had the opportunity to read in London, and reconnect with friends there.

"As if we're reading notes scribbled by the expatriate freelance writer in a car bouncing along a dirt road in Kenya, or on a late-night intercontinental flight... Pasold's work is the poetic equivalent of living out of a suitcase." - The Toronto Star
